Our work began by designing and building a modern coach house for the grandparents at the northern end of the property. Due to overall floorspace limitations and the future plan to enlarge the main house, this coach house is a compact but spacious feeling 675 sqft 1 bedroom home. 

 

It features a light-filled vaulted living area with clerestory windows between supporting beams, eight foot tall french doors opening onto a large patio, and a 4 piece tiled ensuite with large shower and free-standing tub. Exterior living spaces are oriented to the north and east to give the coach house some privacy from the existing main house.

 

Luxury features include 3 fireplaces, decorative wall vinyl, remote venting skylight, Dekton kitchen counters, floor heating, heat-recovery ventilation, and an outdoor shower.
